Devona A. Reynolds Perez Selected as a Super Lawyers 2015 Rising Star

MIAMI – Devona A. Reynolds Perez, Of Counsel at Murray Law, P.A., has been named to the 2015 Florida Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. The Rising Stars list recognizes top up-and-coming lawyers 40 years old or younger or lawyers who have been practicing 10 years or less.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Mrs. Reynolds Perez was selected for inclusion in the Rising Stars list in the practice area of Franchise/Dealerships. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines across the country.
Mrs. Reynolds Perez focuses her practice on franchises, small businesses as well as entrepreneurs. She has extensive experience advising franchisor clients on franchise sales compliance issues, drafting and preparing franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements as well as franchise sales and disclosure compliance programs. She has served as outside legal counsel for a number of franchisors, multi-unit restaurant franchisees, area developers, franchisee associations, as well as small to medium sized businesses.
Mrs. Reynolds Perez also has experience defending employers and businesses against FLSA actions, as well as Title VII discrimination claims and ADA accommodation actions. She has drafted and reviewed a number of employment policies and related agreements. She also advises small business and entrepreneurs regarding corporate structure and business organizations, trademark and copyright registration and U.S. immigration matters.
Devona Reynolds Perez received her B.B.A. from University of Miami in 2004 and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2008.
