Jason M. Murray Publishes Book Chapter

Miami, FL – Murray Law, P.A. is pleased to announce that the firm’s President  & CEO, Jason M. Murray, recently authored a chapter in the updated Covenants Against Competition in Franchise Agreements, Third Edition - a book that provides a framework for comparative analysis of the interpretation and enforcement of covenants against competition in the franchise context throughout North America.

Edited by Michael R. Gray and Natalma M. McKnew, Covenants Against Competition in Franchise Agreements, Third Edition, has contributing authors from each of the 50 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  In addition, Chapters for Canada and Mexico have been added to the Third Edition, making it truly a North American publication.  This book gives franchisors, franchisees and their counsel a single source for the most current statutory and decisional law on a critical topic for franchising in each of the 50 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada and Mexico.  Murray wrote the chapter on Florida Law.

Murray practices in the area of franchise and distribution law and provides counsel and assistance with creating, managing, licensing, protecting and enforcing franchised business relationships, product distribution systems and dealership networks. His franchise and distribution law practice specifically relates to licensing and development, regulation and compliance, and dispute resolution through mediation, arbitration and litigation. Murray’s litigation experience consists of general commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including franchise and distribution law, intellectual property, and real property matters.

Jason Murray received his B.A. from Duke University in 1988 and his J.D. from the University Of Virginia School Of Law in 1991.
