Murray’s focus during his presidency will include continuing the work of breaking down barriers to racial, ethnic and gender diversity within the bench and bar of our legal community. He stated that the Association has over 30 committees that will be tasked with becoming more diverse and inclusive through outreach efforts. “Our goal,” said Murray “is to grow the Association by providing all Miami-Dade County attorneys with opportunities to increase their knowledge through CLE programs and expand their referral networks through the more than 250 events we host each year.” Murray also stated that “diverse lawyers must be given opportunities to participate in our programing and must feel welcomed at our events.” During Murray’s presidency, he will also promote unity and cooperation between the county’s local bar associations as the Dade County Bar Association commences preparations to celebrate its centennial next year.
